A UK cabbie has broken the previous speed record for a petrol-driven reciprocating-engined vehicle by clocking up an impressive 420mph in a 30mph zone in Newport, Gwent.Back in 2004, sales manager Peter O’Flynn was captured by a speed camera in Cheshire doing 406mph in a humble Peugot - a record now shattered by Tom Matthews' 12-year-old Vauxhall Cavalier.

On this basis. there's hope for everyone to become an F1 driver. Obviously, speed cameras never lie. LOL
And this speed camera was located at 2000+ ft...? No way you could be on the ground at 406 mph...lmao!
Forget the speeding fine...did he have a pilots license?
Dang, he went faster than anything British Airways have to offer these days.....I'd give that Cabbie a season ticket for my Florida to London flights!
I recall seeing a speed camera picture of a squirrel running across the road at 46mph then there was teh lorry driver caught speeding a traffic jam, lucky for him his taco graph proved thr camera was wrong.
There used to be one on the way to teh Newmarket race course people kept attacking it soon took it down.
