Is it possible to search Federal Lawsuits somewhere for no cost? I know I can pay my attorney but I thought there might be a free public database site like the USPTO has for patents and trademarks, if so I can't seem to find one...

There are some free search engines that allow you to search the text of published decisions of federal lawsuits but if you are looking for a list of all pending/closed federally filed lawsuits, I don't think that exists.

Each federal jurisdiction gives access to its pending cases at its website.

I don't think it does either.....it is a money making opportunity......the data is available for free, so someone is slack in making a business from it!

I'd do it myself, but, have other irons in the fire right now.....anyone want to take this one on?

If not, I'll get to it in 2008, it would be a reasonable revenue source :)
