>>> What more can be said .........

Although I'm not Jewish, I guess a good old Happy Hanukkah wouldn't hurt.

But Merry Christmas (early) to all as well :)

today is winter solstice day ..we are now officially in winter in the northern hemisphere today being the first winter day ..and starting tomorrow the days will get longer ..:))

that was the original reason to celebrate :)

and is my reason to celebrate ..:)

Xmas is just something that came later to take advantage of the fact that most people were celebrating anyway..

( not being PC ..just stating the facts in case of doubt )

so happy Xmas ..or whatever :)

and wishing well to the others on this planet is a good thing ..as is giving to those you care about ..

for the beleivers of whatever here ..happy whatever festival you attribute to this time of year ..:)

Merry Christmas, happy holidays or just enjoy taking time off!

If you live somewhere that doesn't celebrate Christmas or you won't have any time off then I am sure Webmasterworld will still be open for you :)

Thank You eelixduppy,
How about,
"It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth,
To touch their harps of gold:
'Peace on earth, goodwill to men
From heavens all gracious King!'
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing."

Merrrry Xmas All!

that was the original reason to celebrate :)

Hear, hear. The Sun dies on the winter solstice. After three days the Sun is reborn.

Ooh. Hang on a moment. Hasn't this traditional story been co-opted?

Ah well. Happy Christmas / Saturnalia / Yule / Hannukah / whatever you want to call the winter solstice / rebirth of the Sun.

We've been celebrating it for at least the last fourteen thousand years, why stop now?
