Error 633

Im about to throw my laptop out the window.

I was trying to browse the internet on my laptop via an internal modem but i got the error 633.

So i thought i would re-install windows xp sp2 and this would solve the problem

WRONG

Still getting error 633 -

I can not query the modem either.

The other message i get it that the port the modem is attached to could not be opened.

Please any help on this im most grateful.

I have tried re-installing and all the usual stuff.

Nope -

I now know the problem!

It turns ouit all toshiba laptops have faulty modems not properly soldered to the board dont ask why!

Needs opening up and a iece of thick paper or card inserted on top of the modem so that the preasure forces a good connection.

DONT BUY TOSHIBA
