Was a marvelous night for a Moondance.

Van the Man can still rock the house.

Lately I have heard people,(not WebmasterWorld members), say negative remarks about Van Morrison live in concert. Well, I'm here to refute those claims. I went to see Van Morrison last night and he can still rock the house.

He played for about 1 1/2 hours, and performed a great mixture of old songs and newer ones. He opened with "Back On Top" and ended the concert with the entire crowd singing " G-L-O-R-I-A. In between he played some of the favorites like, Brown Eyed Girl, Days Like This, Moondance, Have I Told you Lately, Crazy Love and more.

He had 10 band members and back-up singers that performed with him and they also sounded great.

Van The Man live in concert gets the thumbs up :)

I have been playing Van the man on a CD in my car for the last three weeks!

My favourite is Tupelo Honey.

You can take all the tea in china
Put it in a big brown bag for me
Sail right around the seven oceans
Drop it straight into the deep blue sea
Shes as sweet as tupelo honey
Shes an angel of the first degree
Shes as sweet as tupelo honey
Just like honey from the bee.

MAGIC!

BDW, Tupelo Honey is also one of my favorites. Unfortunately he did not play Tupelo Honey or "Into The Mystic", another one of my favorites.

I have been to more than a dozen Van gigs over the years. Some were FANTASTIC - but some were beyond awful.

It totally depends on the mood of The Man and that is as variable as the weather in his home town.

That's true. He is renowned for his music as opposed to his personality. ;)

I'm a jazz fan myself. Lots of jazz players have recorded "Moon Dance" over the years. What a wonderful tune.

I saw Van the Man at the Austin City Limits Festival 7 or 8 weeks ago. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand. He was great.
