'Tis a Thai person of the male persuasion who feels most comfortable when looking as much like a woman as possible, sometimes going as far as to have bits chopped off or added. Causes much confusion and / or embarrasment to a certain segment of visitors to the country.

I've been here a couple of weeks (working), and it's a fascinating place, though a little too hot for my liking.

Ok, I understand the confusion of what a katoey is and it was well explained by zCat. But what you must realise that in Thailand katoeys are accepted by (more or less) everyone.

I've met loads in my years here in Thailand and they're a great laugh.
