And from time to time I see things that just make me wonder if Darwins Law still works.
For example, in one of the MS newsgroups, some guy was bragging about his masters degrees, and in the same message complaining that the CSS he wrote in an MS program did not validate - and it was all Notepads fault...
Another one I came across a couple of days ago, someone was complaining about Acrobat was not converting their .jpeg files to text.

Devil's advocate, do not confuse ignorance with lack of intelligence. I don't expect a doctor to know much about HTML.
But I agree, it's human nature to blame something external rather than review your own limitations, and is pretty embarrassing once you come to the realization . . . I've been bitten by that one enough times myself to know. :-)

What was stupid about his particular comment was his assumption that just because he had some totally unrelated degrees, that any mistakes made in any other field were obviously not his.
THAT was the stupid part.
