I just beat up my IKEA Furniture

Does this make me a bad person?

I know everyone has trouble assembling purchased items, but doesn't this seem especially so for IKEA funiture? I spent about 4 hours putting together a simple chair, and only because I had to stretch the fabric over the entire thing! For what should be an easy task, IKEA sure does it's best to make it impossible.

Anyone have any amusing stories associated with furniture assembly?

It's called the Swedish work ethic: get to your desk at 6am, twelve hours later you're still there trying to put the damn thing together. ;)

I love the spoof TV ad which was in the UK showing a production line of flatpack furniture with the last man delving into the boxes and throwing the Allen key away.

Hmmmm, got to be related to the time zone corresponding to your lost membership :)

I always pretend that I really am not able to do it (Close enough to the truth)
My wife does it fine!
