Akira Haraguchi, 60, needed more than 16 hours to recite the number to 100,000 decimal places, breaking his personal best of 83,431 digits set in 1995

All I have to say is this guy has a lot of free time on his hands.

I just wish I had his memory! ;)

How in the "wide world of sports" is that even remotely possible?

I've known pi to 12 digits since I was a kid. I was looking at my calculator (which showed only 10 digits) then realized I could see two more if I subtracted 3.1 and multiplied by 100.

The number's been stuck in my head ever since - it comes in handy about once every five years.

I also know my drivers license number by heart and that's 15 digits. That's pretty much a wasted brain cell.

100,000?!? - he must have made a song out of it...

The state of Indiana tried to legislate PI to three in 1898.

A case of irrational politicians making a number rational.
