I have two computers on the same home network. They are both "named" the same thing.
I recently bought an OEM version of Windows XP Pro. Can I install this on both computers, or do I need to purchase one OS for each machine?

To be in strict compliance with the MS EULA ..one license ..per machine ..

so put linux on the other one ;-)

BTW are you sure that your purchased OEM version is "clean"? and that Bill would pat it's li'l' head and say it's one of his?..

Recently purchased OEM XP pro always raises eyebrows ..

Not casting aspersions ..but the "boxes" usually come with it installed when you buy them ..what's on them at the moment comme OS? ..

Not only you shouldn't install (for legal matters) XP pro on two computers if you have just one licence, but you just couldn't :)

WGA will not let you install the same Windows XP on two computers.

You have to love MS :))

not saying one should do that ..but it's perfectly possible ..WGA ..like anything else is not infallible ..
