Looks like the original star trek series has had a make over - [news.bbc.co.uk...] - wow :)

Computer CGI replaces the old ship models etc - should be interesting to watch.

Hope it comes out in the UK soon!

What's next - will they commission a painter to give the Mona Lisa a breast enhancement?

I've always wondered what the back of the mona lisa looks like?

bcolflesh - that's hardler fair. How can you compare a work of art that is both inspirational and seen by millions to a painting?

If anyone finds any screen shots of the updated Enterprise (the real one, not the daft one from the "Enterprise" series) then let me know!

This will give the studio a chance to [SNIP] the dialog some more so they can show more commercials.

Don't you know that is the REAL agenda? Its a conspiracy, dammit!

- I'm not sure about that - the last series ("Enterprise") was woeful. It looked like a kids programs - the sets, acting and stories all seemed pretty fake to me. They'd need to start from scratch!

The borg were the best of NG, and the best of voyager; 7of9 was there for her chest, but offered a great suggestion for a future series of Earthicans vs. Borg, focussing on rescue and rehab as well as warfare. Voyager's Borg stories offered many possibilities for a whole series.

Who could ask for more? Action, human interest and Borg

At least the 'last series' had the grace not to call itself Star Trek ...

Okay, I confess

I hated the first 2 series of

"Enterprise"

But I thought series 3,4,5 had some promising aspects

I wouldn't know about series 3,4 and 5 - I had switched off long before then!

"Enterprise" was meant to be about a time before the original series - but if you know whats going to happen in the future it becomes boring. What did "Enterprise" do? Have a story line about people from the future manipulating things! Why not just create another show after Voyager and be done with it :)

I'd like to see a "24" version of Star Trek - i.e. the Borg invade a planet or whatever and we see - in "real time" - how characters / ships try to stop/prevent some event from occuring. It would be interesting as you wouldn't know what the outcome would be (as oppossed to 24 when we know that nothing really bad will happen in the final episode) - e.g. which (all new) characters/ships/planets would survive and which wouldn't.
