Spitting Watermellon Seeds

I might be making a career move...

We just had our street / block party today and things are starting to wind down. Earlier in the day they had a watermellon seed spitting contest for the kids. My daughter is all of 6 years spit a seed like 15 feet. (She has a lot of experience spitting on her older sister.)

Later on they held a contest for adults. Based on her performance, I thought maybe we might have some good spitting genes in the family. Sure enough, I managed to launch one like 36 feet and won first prize.

The world record is nearly twice that distance, but:

1 - This was my first time spitting watermellon seeds.
2 - The seeds were small
3 - I had like five beers in me, so my spitting was not optimal.

Maybe it's time for a career move. After all spitting seeds is a lot easier than typing. Anyone else here a professional spitter or have some other similar "talent?"

i play on people's nerves. they hate me, so i guess i am good at it.
not sure if local or world champion though.
