State of Hunger Dictates Who You Fancy

How full a man's stomach is can dictate the type of woman he will fancy, UK research suggests.

A study of 61 male university students found those who were hungry were attracted to heavier women than those who were satiated.

It makes sense on an evolutionary level. Hunger may triggers a primal warning that a "starving time" may be coming, so therefore finding a mate with more food energy stored up would increase the chances that your mate (and the offspring she would produce for you) would survive the starving time, thus ensuring your line would continue.

If you have lots of food and you aren't hungry, then you could afford on a primal level to be attracted to women as directed by society and not instinct.
