A comment in the Ice cream with pepper sauce [webmasterworld.com] thread got me thinking about how my girlfriend is allergic to Old Bay seasoning.

Do you have any unusual allergies? Things like pollen, cats, dogs, etc. are pretty common IMO, but things like Old Bay seasoning are not.

Girlfriend - Old Bay seasoning (she breaks out in hives)
Sister - Mushrooms (had to go to the hospital multiple times because her throat would swell up, before she had allergy tests)

Anyone else?

Country and Western music throws me into fits resembling epilepsy or rabies - tremors, eyes roll back in head, foaming at the mouth, speaking in tongues. It's really quite frightening.

Goat roping music does me in too. I knew a girl who was allergic to the SMELL of cooking eggs. Freakshow, that one.

that whipped cream that you can spray out of a can ...

i'm not sure if its an allergy technically, but it literally makes me sick, as in vomiting sick, it's a horrible experience if i have some by mistake.

Febreeze. The first, last and only time I tried it was a little spray directly onto the upholstery of an old car I was putting up for sale - 2 seconds later I felt like my lungs were closing up and I was gasping for air. Pretty scary!

No history of asthma and other than mild pollen allergies, I'm allergic to nothing else...

pollen, dust, mold, bluegrass music, yardwork, cat dander, mail-in rebates, telemarketers, bee stings, canadian folk rock, anything with a harmonica except Stevie Wonder, stuff with too much cinnamon in it.

What about folk singer sadists who wheeze them unmusically into a microphone for 16 bars when they run out of verses? Bob Dylan wrote some great music, it's too bad so much of it was ruined by that earsplitting little instrument called the harmonica. The sound of it makes me cringe, even when played with skill.

Stevie Wonder represents the sole exception to my hate-on for the harmonica. I can listen to Stevie.

on a serious note, I am allergic to mold and dust
