Im going to see KC And The Sunshine Band [heykcsb.com] tonight. Am I:

a) drunk
b) settling up on a lost a bet
c) showing that my taste in music is incredibly sophisticated

Discuss.

I'm gonna go with the John Boy and Billy [en.wikipedia.org] Current Events Quiz answer and pick "C".

I'm pretty good at multiple choice exams, let's see.

Well, we can rule out "c" altogether since that's known to be false. That leaves a and b.

Okay, I got it now:

You are "b" that you made while "a."

Or d) You are a white male that has mistakenly assumed he has the ability to boogie. :-)

Have fun, I too thought KC threw in the bellbottoms.

pmac,

I choose (d), the not available....all of the above choice!

However, (c) really shouldn't have been offered up!.....So, yes, you are gonna tell us how great they were......while you were drunk!

In these litigious times, can they guarantee sunshine? And, how well can one boogie from behind a zimmer frame?

Or d) You are a white male that has mistakenly assumed he has the ability to boogie. :-)

Excuse me? I resent that remark! :-)

Are you serious about seeing KC&SB or was that a bogus post?

Were you psyched to get to go?

Don't be a spaz, give us the skinny - was it far out to the max? Don't bogart the details. Did you get down to the funk with a fox? I'll bet it was dynomite!

Gotta book, catch you on the flip-side.

Come on Syzygy, everyone knows white guys can't dance. I have been known to throw onlookers into epileptic fits on attempt.

Syzygy ==> a dipody in classical prosody ==> a combining of two feet into a single metrical unit ==> a rhythmic unit of two feet in ancient prose, which while not necessarily rhyming, is understood to be rhythmic.

Syzygy, therefor, is understood to dance rhythmically even if not.

Regarding pmac and KC et al:
- I guess agree with BillyS: "You are 'b' that you made while 'a'."
- I notice a subsequent silence - Foo to pmac, calling pmac...

"Honkies dancing whitely" - a wonderfully descriptive turn of phrase from the book "It came from Memphis".

Sorry, I have to disagree vehemently! I used to dance to Northern Soul, for years - still can and do, just can't do the gymnastics anymore, I'd end up in hospital if I even tried. Even won a couple of dance competitions when I was a much younger man! Of recent I've even done a bit of hard jazz dance - ridiculously uptempo, freestyle jazz rhythms with hard, fast and athletic freestyle dance floor expression. Boy, I wish I'd discovered that years ago!

Back to the original topic, I'd be impressed if anyone could, without looking them up, actually name any other tracks by KC & the Sunshine Band...
