I use a macro program, a small shareware utility which lets me set keyword commands for virtually anything that needs to be done repeatedly. Saves hours every week and hundreds of hours a year. Which are the small freewares that have saved you time?

oddly enough... web accessories for internet explorer. i like being able to set up my own search criteria. and viewing the links on a seperate page.
i would also think that WebmasterWorld would count in some way... wished i would have found it earlier.

Maxivista Multi Monitor Software. This is just an awesome software I stumbled across recently. Turns any spare PC into a second monitor for your main computer. You can even work on several computers simultanousely as if it were one.

For example you connect your laptop to your desktop PC and now can use the laptop as second monitor or even work on the laptop through the desktop computer. Or the other way round.

Add Open Office to the list too, a complete suite of programs that very closely replace all of Microslop's Office programs.

Copies an entire website at the push of a button.
Great for evidence if you want to sue the #*$!s.

Startup monitor. The way it should be: tiny, unobstrusive, takes almost no RAM. It does one thing and does it very well: anytime anything registers itself to launch at startup, it pops up a box to check if that's ok. Great when you are installing Quicktime or any one of a zillion programs that want to load all sorts of stuff on load.

Note a lot of installers will legitimately load a one-off cleanup program at the next reboot, so allow them. It's great.

Another vote for firefox web developer tool bar. I honestly don't know how I got by before it. And a vote for Maxvista as well.

MicroHof's HTML Automator. Takes a database and turns it into web pages for you. Great for affiliate stuff if one does not understand ASP/PHP etc.

Found it about 3 years ago (Don't bother searching - no longer available). What a blessing.
