Other than that skiing is my favourite sport. Used to instruct in andorra for 2 seasons back in 1997-99 and skied for my country in slalom and GS.
It was then the bar sport of drinking beer got to me and took grip, i seem to practice this quite a lot now, especially the world cup is on.
just about to get a new bike as well. Get a nice discount from the Gov in their cycle to work scheme. around 45% discount on any bike a like under £1000.

Got one now though - but requires me to drive for 30+ minutes and pay £5 for each training session (not blaming the club but the system) - no wonder half of UK population is fat ... only joking
Use to do martial arts as well but again quite rare where I live (and pricey too).
Anyway if you don't play football, cricket or rugby in the UK it's hard to do anything else - haven't got round to try to understand cricket rules yet though ;)
Please another bowler. Just one?
I am the company's Lawn Bowls Champion 2005. I have an engraved trophy on my desk to prove it. Among the competitors I beat was a one time Junior Australian Champion.
I will be defending my title at the Finsbury Circus bowling green - in London's square mile - in a couple of weeks time.
Bring it on...

Frisbee disc golf.
Weight lifting.
Same, here, but I'll take it a step further. I've been goofy enough to lie on my side and use iron plates in a throwing motion hoping to strengthen my arm and improve my drives. I actually think it worked.
Also, basketball, tennis, raquetball, and others when I can. Raquetball seems to give me the biggest high.
...do you play regularly?
That's the funny part; it was only the second time I'd ever played bowls! The first was a casual game (for want of a better description) getting on for 20 years ago.
Obviously, I'm a natural ;-)
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy the game; it engages the brain, involves the application of strategy, requires hand-eye coordination, and (in my case) draws much luck!
The 2006 tournament is in a couple of weeks; no chance to practice prior to then unfortunately. Still, prior to it starting, when I've done a slow lap around the green with trophy held aloft the competition will surely crumble ;-)

It's all in the snap ;). That and buying a practice basket helped me when recovering from leg surgery last year. Quote: "Happy learned how to put".
Take care,

As a Brit, I used to play Crown Green Bowls, but now that I live in the USA that is simply not possible. I'm in the process of buying a Snooker Table from Canada, but, a true grass bowling green is just too much effort to maintain :(
Today I play Golf, Sail and attempt to fish! Shortly the Snooker will be back, my US pool buddies are already shaking at the thought of the size of the table ;)
