According to the Broadcasters' Audience Research Board (BARB), 98% of households currently own TVs and therefore already require valid TV licences to watch TV programmes.
So the vast majority of people do not need for separate TV licences for PCs, as they would already be covered by any valid TV licence they may have. "
Albert Einstein said that he was aware of two infinites in this world. These were the universe and human stupidity. Although he was "unsure of the former", my point lies with the latter.
If 98% of households own a license, why the heck should businesses (where these same people work) have to acquire licenses as well? It's like a double charge.
Charges here, taxes there, the payments never cease.
