Apparently, you are forgetting about D Wade, Shaq and my boy, the real dark horse MVP, Antoine "Wiggle" Walker.

I was hoping he or Paul Pierce would get a ring someday and it's about to happen.

I hope the Mavs win, I've been a fan since the Jim Jackson/Jamal Mashburn/Jason Kidd days (I'd like to say since the Mark Aguirre and Rolando Blackman days, but I'm not THAT old).

It all relies on Dirk though. If he doesn't choke under the pressure, it'll be Mavs in 7. Otherwise, it's Heat in 5.

Shaq's looking for a reason to retire. He's going to be busting people left and right in order to get this ring.

My favorite healine so far was "Mavericks show they can take a punch" - Jerry Stackhouse almost getting knocked out.

Shaq missing 8 FTs, ok that happens to us, but D-Wade missing the FTs also... that will get fixed by Game 2.

The difference here is that Cuban has applied "network topology" concepts to his bench, effectively creating a "distributed well balanced talent pool deep into the 'file' structure" ... vs. the bloody vertical "star power" of Miami with all the weight and responsibility falling on a few..."tired mainframes" ..definitely an outdated model...though the talent on the vertical side is significant..the distributed "open source" model will perform in a more balanced fashion on offence and defense...and will prevail...

Cuban and Mavs by 5 with Miami slipping one more tight win in at home (Mavs should win on their home court...would be just the right moment for them)...

Maybe the 03 Spurs because Robinson was essentially done by then but the trend has been more of a two-star-wonder winning since Jordan retired.

this is incredible, I've don't remember anything like this, not the Marlins 2 World Series, the Cane's championships. nada.

the streets are packed, the beach, grove, downtown, everywhere.

looks like a lot of folks won't be working tomorrow.
and the people are all behaving. that makes it even more incredible.
