Is NetFlix Broken?

I Can't Rate Movies Anymore...

Rating movies was a way for me to interact with the site, gave me the feeling that there was a communication between me and their movie recommendation algo. In general, I think the ability to interact with a company builds bonds between a consumer and the company.

In this case the ratings system was a way to feel I had an input toward what their algorithm would suggest for me, that they were listening, even that they cared. Now I feel like I'm dealing with an ATM machine. Bad user experience. Cold.

It was cool to see when their ratings matched what I thought about a movie. I want my yellow stars back... Wah!

BTW, I'm planning to 'cancel' the service for 2-3 months and then re-join but I do not want to loose my queued movies, do you know if my queue will be there when I re-join? anyway to save it? XML for example? or would be the only way to print it and re-enter it manually?

Have anyone done this before?

Netflix is working fine for me, it's just the movie ratings history that seems to be gone.

I have cancelled my account before but it stays dormant, you can revive your movie ratings history (unless they've done away with that). Can't recall what happened to the queue
