This bloke Eric [savelivesinmay.com] claims that a piece of comet will hit the Atlantic Ocean on May 25th and create a mass tsunami that will kill lots of peeps. What do you think?

Well, its 5:00 pm in the Virgin Islands and it is as clear a day as I have ever seen. The wave height in the channel is less than 1 foot ... so far.

Its beginning to look as though Eric whoseywhatsis and Michel de Notredame (aka Nostradamus) have at least one thing in common: The rumours of their prognosticative abilities have been greatly exaggerated! :)

A lot of people don't know this about me, but I have predicted with 99.99% accuracy the death of every person born before 1890 AD.

It's true.

I keep visiting the website to see if there is an update. When I look at Eric’s picture, I swear I see strands of tin foil coming off his head. Might be antennae!

Crackpot? Hold on - the show's not over yet!

UPDATE MAY 25, 2006:
According to informed sources, contacts in the American intelligence services confirm the existence of a time window of 48 hours, centered on May 25th at midnight GMT, for the impact a comet fragment south of the Azores.

A little less than 21 hours - at most - left!

So, will this help me get #1 ranking?

Shoot, if that's true that the target zone is the Azores, we will most definitely feel the impact in the BVI several days later. I hope we get to complete the Music Fest before the tsunami hits us! :)

Damn ... I have three lobsters in my freezer. I should eat them all tonight so they don't go to waste after I die!

This just in...
Bruce Willis [wnbc.com]was doing an interview with German television near the ocean when a huge wave hit him and his producer from behind.

In this, your dire time of need Liane, I will be there to help you!

(I'm guessing they're spiny ones, yes?)

Did you feel the earth shake yesterday?

No, actually they are Maine lobsters with chelipeds and five sets of legs! A repeat customer brought them down for me as he knows this is my favourite meal of all time!

Did you feel the earth shake yesterday?

We get quakes here all the time... but I didn't notice anything yesterday. Sounds like a freight train when they rumble through. However, there is so much construction going on around my place and cement trucks are up and down the road all day long. It would be hard to tell the difference between a cement truck and a small quake!

So its May 26th and no sign of any big waves. I'm off to the music fest! Weeeeeeeeeeee!

Maybe it got delayed by a slow moving asteroid ahead, perhaps when it took a left turn just after Mars.
