In fact, Joan Miro was a man. You really don't like the paintins...

on the contrary, I really like his work. easy to dismiss some of his best stylistic nuances because miro-esque patterns later became stock design elements in kitchy 50s interior decoration. there was nothing like it before miro, and... he did it best.

Today, the family of Joan Miro was upset to discover elements of several works by the Spanish surrealist incorporated into Google's logo. Google has since taken the logo off its site.(...) Sad, really. Many people only heard of Joan Miro because of Google. Now they are forced to take it off...

I understand it's copyrighted... but... there's a difference between stealing and profitting than using and honoring.

The sad part is that Google didn't think to ask for permission to use copyrighted work...
