How do you "quote back" in WebmasterWorld?

I've been on this site for a long time and have always wondered how one goes about "quoting back" a section of a previous thread - you know, if you're replying to a thread but you want to indicate what specific part of the thread you're replying to. I've seen it a million times here (the quote-back is surrounded in a grey-ish box) but I don't know how to do it.

Can someone be my seeing-eye-dog for the blind on this?

If you don't know, you need to go learn some "Programming LANGUAGE!"

;~) Just kidding.

I would like to know too, so I can look like one of the cool kids.

There is Style Codes [webmasterworld.com] link to the left of the Reply form. It lists all the commands the forum supports. But to answer your specific question, you put the quote into [quote] tag and close it with [ /quote]

I use a Firefox extention called BBCode. It lets me do all that stuff just by right clicking. It has several neat features that use what is in the clipboard. Like I can type a word select it then right click on it and it takes the URL in my clipboard and makes the selection a link.

Hmm, I've done the quote command in the past and it never worked for me for some reason. Oh well...

Thanks for the info!

I finally figured out why it wasn't working...

I was doing <quote> instead of [quote].

Hah, you learn something new EVERYDAY!

Aw...
moltar you ruined the intelligence filter on text styling. Formerly, the only people who knew how to do this were people who could read and interpret text.

Expect in the next while to see lots of big text and

excessive use of styling

I doubt it. Most people are too lazy to do all that fancy stuff.

Canadian Pharmacies

totally OT, but as a non-North American, I've always wondered what the attraction of Canadian pharmacies is, particularly to our brethren in the field of mail-based canned luncheon meat distribution. Do they specialize in maple-syrup flavoured medicines, or what?

Be careful, I do believe members have been banned in the past due to abuse of style codes. ;)
