Hello,

My Facebook pages have had absolutely zero organic reach for external links for weeks. Even if I share any external link to 4-500 thousand people, only 1-2 people click on it and that's it. I also tried to advertise, but no one clicked on that either, while thousands of people clicked on my shares before that.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hello everybody, Facebook has ended links in France since November 1st. Before I was able to get by a little despite everything. It's literally a disaster, they blocked all the scope of the links and the clicks, let's not talk about it. This social network is a shame. I hope they collapse and lose everything. It's become a load of #*$! with this miserable suggestion algorithm that puts anything and everything forward

I agree with you, I hope there will be another social networking site soon where they are a bit more consistent. Anyway, I see that there are periods in Hungary. i have had a relatively good reach for 2 weeks now, but before that it was zero, and i'm sure it will be zero again soon. However, I have friends who have never had a problem with reach since the problem. By the way, I don't know, do the users not seeing the pages they follow and not seeing their friends' posts bother them? Does everyone just want to watch stupid videos now? The news pages have disappeared, I can't see news in the news feed. The reason I used to Facebook is because it wasn't the same as tiktok. Now I have another tiktok...

"Does everyone just want to watch stupid videos now?"

That seems to be what the focus is now. And most of the videos are copied from Tiktok and are clickbait.

The problem with this whole organic reach problem is that it makes no sense why some people are affected and others aren't. I'm constantly looking at other pages of people in my industry to see what they may be doing differently. Facebook always says "post frequently and consistently" to expand your reach. Well, that's not true at all. In fact, I've seen some people only post once a week and get more interaction on their posts than people who post daily (and I'm taking page followers into account). At the opposite end of that, I follow one page that always used to post 2 things every morning within 15 minutes of each other. His reach was pretty steady. At some point in the past few months, he's decided to post 5 or 6 things every morning around the same time. You would assume that if he's posting that much, Facebook would knock down his reach, but they haven't.

I normally post about 3-5 times a week. I started posting more, including up to 3 times a day, to see if that changed anything. It did seem to increase reach, but very slightly --- it seemed to send out my posts for maybe 2 or 3 days rather than just 1 or 2 days. But the results were very sporadic; would work one day, but not another.

The other thing Facebook is doing in the creative/arts area is assigning random business pages the "rising creator" status. It's supposed to mean that you're suddenly popular for whatever reason. It's not based on page followers; it's based on some random Facebook algorithm. And once a page gets handed that "rising creator" status, everything they post automatically gets higher reach. What I don't know, and what would be interesting to find out, is if any of these "rising creators" or anyone else that Facebook seems to be favoriting with high organic reach, have been giving Facebook any money in terms of ads or paid "boosted" posts.

Good morning, Who can still click and where do you live? I am devastated my two pages have been completely dead since November oddly enough it happened at the same time as the message from Facebook in Europe to agree to use Facebook for free or have to pay to no longer have advertising

Hi again guys

Now i see only images in my suggested with links under post or on post..

Never saw one link on my suggested, so that means the only way to drive people to a website is from images.

Anyone found something to help us increase link clicks organic?

I came across this interesting article that was done by an advertising agency in South Africa after Facebook screwed up organic reach earlier this year. I know my problem started back in February or March of this year, which this article corroborates. The "solutions" they give aren't that helpful, but it was interesting to read that someone actually did a study on it all and did the math. It also talks about how posts with links in them are demoted, which I know is an issue for many of you (I don't use links in my FB posts, but was affected just the same): https://icollective.agency/facebook-organic-algorithm-2023/

A study was done earlier this year and shared in this forum but it may have been missed, posted June 20, 2023: [webmasterworld.com...]

It did not supply the answers either.

Hey again guys, let's try to solve the problem until we have any update

Share your experience on organic reach, what's more effective on your page and your website links?

I can tell you for sure if you post content without link and post it under comments or on posts you will get better results.
My question is how to make this image more suggested to other people or to my followers? Most posts with link under comment or on post
doesn't do well

Share what's more effective for you right now

Good morning, I am very sad to announce that Facebook has definitively killed the media on the network. I live in France and since November absolutely all media have been blacklisted from the algorithm. It's a shame that Zuckerberg, who is not even the founder of Facebook, decided to block the links. Many media will flow into the world. Life is beautiful 👏👏👏👏👏

It’s happening to me. I feel like Facebook is the app that has no shame in letting their users know that they want them to fail. The company is very evil. More evil than Elon Musk and that’s saying a lot.

Good morning, I just calculated and my salary and divided again by 50% this month of November. The drop is even more violent with more than 90% less reach. I hope that in January something positive will happen.

Sad but true, it is getting worse day to day. Long gone are the days when I used to get good traffic from Facebook.

I was starting to get happy, I had about 4 weeks of good reach(5-600 online) , and yesterday it was like a shutdown (10-20 online), all my websites went back to zero reach. Of course, as usual I wrote to them to see where the problem was and they see nothing. I say I can't believe this, and support starts explaining when to share and what posts. I say I have been working for 10 years, I know how it works. Then I said goodbye, I'm sick of the brain dead suport. Then I got a call from facebook asking if they had solved my problem, I said no. He tells me to wait 24 hours and write them again.

Hello lacika012345
I think you are the exception of having good reach in the last 4 weeks :-)
We all have almost zero reach on posts containing links (direct or in photo descriptions).
Somehow, the new Facebook AI algorithm shut down all posts with links.
You have to specify at Facebook support that zero reach comes to posts with links and not.. to all posts generally because some photos without links get good reach.
Since November began things got worse. It looks like they are driving traffic to external links to zero, day by day.

In Hungary I have many of my friends with good organic reach, without any changing, or problem. I do not understand the reason. Anyway, all of the facebook is a #*$!, full of videos, like tiktok.
I am Hungarian, and I do not see many Hungarian posts, full of videos and posts in all languages. Facebook thinks it's okay, but it's not good for them in the long run, that's for sure..

Hello Dim71,

No, nothing has changed. I will write to them again tomorrow. They don't want to see that a few days ago a post was reaching 2000-50000 people, now it's 200-1000. And this is the famous Pro team, well it's like putting my grandmother there...

My reach in the past 2 weeks has probably been the lowest all year --- I'm lucky if I get 10 likes and anything more than 100 in organic reach from my 1,800 followers, when I used to average at 200 likes last year for my posts with about the same amount of followers. Another thing I'm noticing is that the post reactions for almost everyone in some groups I'm a part of have also slowed down in the past 2 weeks. There are certain people who for some unknown reason get a ton of likes no matter what they post in these groups, and even they seem to be affected in the past 2 weeks. The question I keep asking myself is are less and less people using Facebook, or is it just less and less people seeing things they follow?

I still occasionally come across other pages whose reach doesn't seem impacted at all by whatever's going on --- they can post ugly photos and boring information, and still get a ton of reactions. But it seems more people are being affected by it than not. I just had a Facebook recommendation show up in my feed yesterday from a psychic who has page who was complaining that her followers are telling her they're not seeing anything she's posting. So it's affecting a ton of different people who have business pages on Facebook. Whether or not you're posting links with your posts has little to do with it at this point. I never post links on my posts, and I've seen and heard from a lot of other people who don't post external links who have been affected just the same with a significant drop in organic reach.

I decided a few days ago to spend $1 a day to boost one of my posts to see if bribing Facebook has any affect on overall reach of other posts, but so far it hasn't helped other than slightly increasing the reach of the boosted post.

Good morning, the months of November and December are historic in terms of decline by Facebook for links. Surprisingly, I am often put in suggestion with my pages of 713k and 1 million. This shows that even if you buzz regularly with ultra-active pages, you may not work with the links. I have a second account with which I added my pages as favorites and to tell you the degree of censorship from Facebook, the links no longer even appear without having added a page as a favorite. Facebook = TikTok, as long as zuck remains at the head of these social networks everything will be nothing but a nightmare. by the way for your information, I have an Instagram account and they destroyed the Instagram algorithm. I am divided by 60% on Instagram.

What I don't understand is how some of the pages look like nothing has changed since the problem. They've still got everything spinning nicely. For example, this French facebook page, you can see that everything is fine. But we have some in Hungary too, these pages have either been forgotten by facebook or I don't know.

No specifics please

Good morning, I worked with the page and I even tested some links and it didn't work. Besides, my pages react better than those of the page with regular suggestions on photos (50k likes) and the links are a disaster. I was doing 25,000 clicks per day currently, I'm doing 4000/6000 per day maximum. Facebook is playing with fire.

Take a look at this: [i.postimg.cc...]

I've never had this happen to me, I've shared an article to about 500,000 people, and I've got 1 online in total on my website, and it's not looking at what I've shared. Facebook has become a parody of itself...

I don't understand, if they want to destroy tiktok, why the hell didn't they make a video sharing site. Facebook no longer exists in the form it was created for, I can't see my friends posts, I can't see the pages I follow, just brain dead videos from foreign countries.

Hy Lacika! I'm from Hungary too, and I have some Facebook pages from 10,000 to 80,000 Followers, and I'v been experiencing the same. My Adsense income was cut in half. The last "normal" income and Facebook reach was in May,after that, my reach decimated. I experience about 50% dropping, only the image posts (with link in the comments) works, but it also falls short of the old one, the old times... On Similarweb, I also seen, that for expamle some sites, <no specifics please>has a "same" reach. Somehow, their reach increased from summer... I dont understand, and I exhausted, depressed...

Yes, I know well the owners, nothing has changed there either.
My drop is not 50%, it's 95.
I spoke to facebook yesterday,, they don't care about the reach anymore, says it's not that important for the internal team to look at.
And then I attach yesterday's hits, 0 literally. And they think that's ok...

I recently started just posting photos with the link on the status/description on my group instead of just sharing the link/post, I do see a difference but not much.

Hi,Nebseo

I currently have a negative record again. I share one website with about 400,000 people and 5-10 online visitors. Those are also coming from search engines, because they are not looking at the shared articles. In addition, all my websites have paid ads that nobody looks at. (Of course, in the end I will get a good statistic of how many people have viewed it.) I tried sharing as a picture and commenting on the article, same result there, or in a story... It's as if people are somehow being sucked away from my websites. I've been writing facebook every 2 days, always saying I'll get a reply by email, but nothing. They are only interested in revenue now. In April they told me there was a bug in the system, now they don't tell me that either. In the meantime, I have a friend who has 1500 online stable now.
The main problem is that this is very unfair. Under the same conditions, one guy goes bust and the other guy skyrockets.

Oh and my favourite thing, when I share an article, half of the online visitors disappear. Thank you Facebook...
