Facebook has a new Rights Manager for Images to help creators and publishers help protect their intellectual property on Facebook and Instagram.

Page Admins need to submit an application to join the program, and once approved, allows them to adjust settings as appropriate, such as IP world-wide, or in specific locations.
It uses Facebook's image matching technology to help discover images being used.

Repeat infringement of IP may result in a user's account being disabled and Page Group being removed.

Interesting! Where is the original copyright repository housed that FB will use to make the program work properly, and who vets the entries as unique and original copyright/trademark?
