Hey!

I'm having some trouble with my conversions on Facebook.

I know that Facebook has issues around allowing you so see view through traffic on tracking platforms like Adform but I was wondering if anyone knew of a way I can work around this to match back my conversions.

The questions I want to answer are:

1. Can custom data be passed through into the Facebook pixel at the point of conversion?
2. Can you break down conversions by that data in Facebook ads reporting?

Each customer is assigned a unique number for our CRM database at the point of reaching our thank you page. Are we able to track that number in the Facebook pixel in such a way that we can see the unique number for each conversion in Facebook ads reporting?

Passing data through in to Facebook is possible with purchase values, but as far as I know you cannot breakdown conversions by purchase values, the data is only viewable as total purchase value by ad. We want to match particular conversions to particular sales. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Well, we don't have that problem because ours is a service, so I've not thought about your question in the vein you are asking. We do however run multiple ads at the same time (with huge varieties of targeting) and use custom url tags to track the actions per ad.

So I guess if you have so many product, multiple ads are not an option? (by using sale pages for each product or service?)
We use like our own personal split a/b testing and run multiple ads to track conversion to different parts of the site.

That said, we did toy with the advanced matching (passing back email) after newsletter signups and checkout purchases. Results were too low to be of value.
