Facebook Q4 Revenue $8.81 Bln, Monthly Active Users Reach 1.86 Bln

Facebook beat expectations in its Q4 revenues reaching $8.809 billion, against $5.841 billion a year ago.

Its year end was 57% up year on year, from $17.928 billion to $27.638 billion.

Mobile ad revenue continues to represent a large proportion and is up to 84%.

It's also reporting that monthly active users are up to 1.86 billion.

Daily active users (DAUs) – DAUs were 1.23 billion on average for December 2016, an increase of 18% year-over-year.
Mobile DAUs – Mobile DAUs were 1.15 billion on average for December 2016, an increase of 23% year-over-year.
Monthly active users (MAUs) – MAUs were 1.86 billion as of December 31, 2016, an increase of 17% year-over-year.
Mobile MAUs – Mobile MAUs were 1.74 billion as of December 31, 2016, an increase of 21% year-over-year.

You can't possibly fake it more than they do.

Let's dig into this.
Daily active users (DAUs) – DAUs were 1.23 billion
Mobile DAUs – Mobile DAUs were 1.15 billion

This means that DESKTOP Daily users are 80 million. Desktop is what counts, these are real , premium users.

When I tried advertising on Facebook, their clicks are not only from giant clickbot farm that are plain obvious , but also 2 out of 3 clicks they charged never even get to your website or never register with Google Analytics. That's basically tells me that 2/3 of "traffic" is bots. The mobile botnets are so obvious they were caught by our very simple filters.

I wonder if they count as users everyone who's ever seen a +1 button.

However, I agree, bots are a problem all over. It's a real pain.
