Lets suppose a webmaster is not too concerned with the comedy factor, his reputation etc.
but simply wants more links / traffic as a way of improving serps positions.
He/she could capture Google's machine translations of his pages, and
(with a little surgery) turn them into regular html pages.
Instant "unique" content for sure, and a few more internal links to the 'real' pages.
The webmaster could put links from real pages to the goofy machine pages until they get spidered
by everyone, then take only those links down to avoid embarrassment later.
Incoming links from the goofy machine pages would still stand.
Is such an idea completely goofy, or does it have some merits?
I'm tempted to try it as an experiment, but don't have throw-away domains.
Are there any large risks here? - Larry
