Russian Keyword Data?

How many searches are performed in Russia?

I am considering to open a Russian section of my site which is health related.

How can I know how many searches are being done in Russian per month related to Health subject?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That's good question and not one I can answer for you. Primarily because I couldn't find any Russia search data out there.

Let's wait and see if some of the members with experience in Russia care to step up to the plate :)

Overture has a good search data, but it does not apply to the Russian language.

However, I Russian search and internet market is huge.

There are many ways to do it, some of them are more complex than the other. Assuming you have a list of keywords you can just analyse whether all characters in a given keyword belongs exclusively to the Russian (Cyrillic) alphabet. This might require some thought if you support other foreign languages that are not based on ASCII characters.

I've got one reply so far.
This service let you list keywords to see the search statistics for the period of a month on this very search engine (rambler.ru):
[adstat.rambler.ru...]

Even this SE is not the biggest in Russia, it shoud still give a hint.

We wait to see if someone replies with more general stats there (i'll post it here if more replies arrive).

And Mail.ru
[stat.go.mail.ru...]

I think based on these three keywordtools you can make a reasonable estimate that you need.
