What's big in Germany, etc.?

I have heard that debit cards are big in Germany. Does anyone have market share information, such as how Mastercard, Visa, and Amex compare to these debit cards? What are the debit cards' brand names?

Although Germany is the topic of my question, I'd be curious for the other major European countries as well!

You'll get very far with MC, Visa and Amex. I shouldn't worry about any others if I were you. We do tons of business all over Europe with just these three, including Germany.
