Getting German traffic

Our client is based in India. Now they want to targer traffic from Germany and Austria. Would it be possible for us to buy a German domain name?

I visited eurodns.com which says " -Local Contact
(if you don't have a local contact, Eurodns will be the contact for free.)"

Any suggestions? What is the best way to go about this?

Akash, as you already stated you have to be a person or company located in Germany to get a .de domain if that's not the case the administrative contact has to be in Germany and you can be wherever you want.

However, [webmasterworld.com...] might be worth a read.
