Using multiple domains

Hi,

My site is growing internationally and the main domain is .no. I have bought a .net and co.uk domain but I'm not sure how I can take advantage of the todays Google ranking AND use the new domains. I really would like to have the .net as the main domain but then the site would loose it's position on Google? Will I get penalized if I forward between the domains? What should I do? Please help me!

you will not get penalised if you forward users from your .net domains to your .no domain.
unfortunately, as your site is established, it will be quite difficult to change googles index to reflect your new domains, ie. i think you're stuck with your original domain. try and get a few links with the .net domain in them, other than that - be happy to rank well within google!

What if I point all the domains to the same server and then submit the domains to Google. Will it crawl and list all of them as .no and .co.uk and .net. WCould I be penalized because of this?

Will you have duplicate content on the domains? If yes, you should probably redirect the SE's to a single domain, say .co.uk

Then provide interlinking on the domains for your site visitors.

You have to be careful with redirection. If used, it should be 301 - Permanent Redirect.

But you say your business is growing internationally now. Is it the type of business where there can be unique content for targeting different countries or geographic regions?

Yes, in the future I see that I can have different content on different sites. The problem I have now is that I think .net looks better than .no and I already have a very good ranking on the .no domain. I'm not sure what to do?
