Voila has a search database, and a "guide" - basically, there are two systems/submission services. Your site can be included in the basic database and show up on search results. It can also be perhaps included in the guide - it's now mainly a paid service. The guide is a yahoo-like directory of categorized sites. The advantage to being in that is that guide results show before se results.

The default results show up on the 'Web francophone' tab, which Google translates for me as the 'French speaking web'. Is this the Voila crawled database you refer to louponne? You then say that their 'Guide' results show up before the database, but if their 'Guide' is the 'Guide de Web' tab, this does not show up first when I look.
Finally, where then does the Web Mondail data come from?
Sorry to be so demanding, but I have a client who is indexed in the Web Mondail but does not appear in either of the two I mention here. I am happy to do the submissions recommended, but I'd just like to get my head clear about it all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Steve
Here is how I understand the voila results:
1. Web francophone. SERP's as crawled by Voilabot. Only contains pages in French. Overture.fr ppc results display at the top of the natural results.
2. Guide du Web. Results from the voila directory. I believe that before the agreement with overture the guide results were indeed displayed on the SERP's, as per louponne.
3. Web mondial, similar to 1. but for any language.
Hopes this clarifies a little. So if your customers' pages display only in the "Global Web" (web mondial), then it must be because the page is not in French, or the voila crawler was not able to identify that the page is in French.
