MSN.de changes from Allesklar.de to Looksmart

Allesklar.de, largest paid german directory has obviously lost it's largest partner, MSN.de.
MSN.de now gets catalogue results from Looksmart.

To get listed you have to use the Looksmart Submit Your Site Service which is 159 EUR + VAT pa..

Looks like all the allesklar.de listings are already gone from the main MSN results.

Heini, I am a little confused with these german Looksmart listings. Is there a standalone german Looksmart index? Or is this only for msn.de?

It would be nice to have a look at the directory before you submit.

First I've read about LookSmart being a part of the German market place, are they a fairly big player there?

Does this increase significantly the cost to play?

Actually I'm somewhat dissappointed with this development, as Allesklar.de was a cool backdoor to some great MSN traffic.
Looksmart didn't have any partners of significance in mainland Europe over the last two years, they had basically totally abandoned Europe, closing offices in 2002, if I remember correctly.

Do they have a german index worth mentioning? Doesn't look like that. Checked some MSN.de serps - appalingly thin.

So the price to get into MSN.de is 159 + VAT pa - okay for a decent ecom site.

Is there any way to access their German directory directly via Looksmart.com? I can't find non-English pages there at all.

Do they publish their German pages at MSN.de exclusively?
