That's quite a minimum bid there. Makes tracking your ROI even more important as the cost for doing business online increases.

Actually, I learned about it in an e-mail from an overture.fr staffer after a short exchange - I'm sure he wasn't supposed to tell about that!

The 0.15 Euro cent (~0.96 francs) is coming closer to the £0.10 (~1.10 francs) minimum bid in the uk. It can make quite a sum if you have a high click through rate.

True, hadn't thought of that - it makes sense that european minmum cpc's be the same. But this is 50% more than the overture.com $0.10 minimum. I guess we can plan on that going up too. Maybe they're testing on the european market :(

Hopefully there will be some kind of worldwide rate applied, but maybe not - we don't live in a fair world and I'm still angry against M*cromedi* store for having the studio Mx 20% more expensive in the UK than in the US :)(mind you it's still cheaper than in France (+24%) ;))

I'm pretty sure the min bid will be the same across Europe, that is the Euro countries. UK and countries not yet adopting the Euro of course are exceptions.

Asked their support team and they told me they only accept US credit cards. Anyway I also wanted the boxes but might reconcider if you tell me that it worked for you online with different credit cards details than US.

Yeesh, well you hit a dishonest %*$£ support teamer! We purchase on-line all the time. Mainly on sites in the US, software or hardware - never, at any site, has our French visa card been refused. You can order the "manuals" (hah hah hah hah) separately on-line, so there's no reason to get the boxes unless you like to display them or use them as bookends. (especially since you'll be downloading the upgrades anyway after the bugs are worked out).

Regarding overture UK I've created my first account a couple of weels ago and I must say that they reviewd te keywords fater than they originally told me. Also the new figures for June are out since a couple of day.

I've got an honest question though, could I bid on the French Market using my UK Aco**** (got a french site that may need a bit of promoting)?

Nope - you have to set up a French account. On the site, it looks as if you have to set up an entirely separate account, but if you contact overture, they'll open up the French account for you and link the French account to the UK account, so that you only have to login to one account. Then, at the top of your OV admin screen, you'll have a little drop-down to switch from one to the other. The balance money, accounting of click-throughs and billing/payment will be separate, though.

Be sure that your site is in genuine French, and only bid on pertinent kw - as I'm sure you know, OV is pretty adamant about checking to see if your kw correspond to your site.

Yes, seen that, it only took me to modify a page title to have them accept one of the kewywords they were refusing me.

German minimums are also going up, and sadly German accounts can't be merged together into the same drop down, for multiple account management.

One thing on the keyword issue, if your site is in French, you can bid on english keywords, but not the other way round, so if your site is in English you can't bid on French keywords in France.

Did you actually e-mail OV support about that? I had to actually contact them so that they would "manually" set it up.
