Where do they come from?

So I've got a #1 in msn.com for a nice phrase, a paid inclusion. The problem is that the phrase is really targeted for citizens in some european countries and the local versions of msn are mixing the results in a way I can't figure out. It's not only that local languages and sometimes domains are included, the order of the serps is different compared with msn.com or Inktomi pure search.

These are the placings of this phrase in some european msn's.
msn.fi #15
msn.se #88
msn.de #14
msn.ch #12
msn.dk #25
msn.no #18
msn.fr #30
msn.co.uk not in top 200.

One reason to the differencies may be that the serps are updated in different occasions.
What do you is the key to success with these local versions of msn? Any comments appreciated.

Zeb, I've been waiting for the local experts to give you some pointers here. MSN is not the easiest portal to figure out. The variations between local versions are great, directory sources vary, paid listings are sold locally too.
Sorry, no good answer. I think we have to look at each version specifically.

MSN is special.
They got the Inktomi results, Looksmart results and results managed my the local MSN. The local results can be both free and paid listings, but mostly paid listings of cause.

So not much new to what Heini posted.
