MSN.de/Allesklar.de submission

trouble with German interface

I want to submit a clients .de site to Allesklar.de for inclusion in MSN.de.

However, I can neither speak nor read German, and am having difficulty getting through the submissions process.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Know of a way I can contact them directly?

Assuming there is a link, if you have a problem reading the interface you can always look at the source code for the addurl link. ;-)

I can find that no problem - its just reading and understanding the German!

It seemes like they changed their procedure recently.

The addurl link is called
"Jetzt Ihre Homepage anmelden!"

Then you'll have to register (even for the free entry)
"Jetzt registrieren" (on the bottom of the right side)

Then there is the registration form.
(German only, but more or less self explanatory if
you know web forms ;) ... Make sure to change the spam
radio button to "Nein..." though)

If you manage to fill out the registration form correctly you proceed to a form where you can submit your url.
Make sure you choose the free listing "Basis Listing - kostenlos" if you don't want to get charged.

There don't seem to be any input fields for description etc. anymore (?)....

What's the difference between the free and paid submissions?

How long does it take for each?

And how much does it cost?

Forget the free inclusion. It's like with Yahoo - you can try it for non commercial sites, but chances are slim, and you'd probably wait forever.

Paid inclusion is 158,00 € (183,28 €*) p.a., following years 49,00 € (56,84 €*). Review time is 2 days.

You can book extra services, bringing the listing to the top of their own two directories, Allesklar.de and Meinestadt.de. This has however no effect on your MSN.de listing, which is the main point of course.

Information to submit include (in required order):
Step 1
- url
Step 2
- Title (80 chars)
- Description (optional)
- Keywords (optional)
- Local info, Country (dropdown)/Zip Code/Town(optional)
- Top category (dropdown, default is on "let our editors pick")

To be able to make a submission you first will have to register with Allesklar, which is free.
Final step is of course the payment process - cc is recomendable, especially from other countires.

Wow, here comes the surprise: To check out their new submission routine for this thread I submitted a new minor site of us and didn't expect it to be included any time soon.

Today this test-site is included. Kudos to Allesklar!
(Maybe I just got lucky or there are not as many people registered yet)

[PS: It is just listed - no description. That's why the
description submission form never appeared, obviously free listing doesn't include a description any more.]

[PPS: it doesn't seem to have a category listing either. Just shows up on the search.]

a free listing in allesklar.de is a basic listing, a listing without any description.

No inclusion to MSN.de via Allesklar - so far.

[But I've noticed on my other sites that MSNbot is crawling diligently now.]

h_b_k has it nailed. I have to admit reading the revised submission details but not paying too much attention to the free listings details.

So free listings do not get a description, are not browsable from the directory structure - and looks they do not make it into MSN.

A free listing of my client's site took 3-6 weeks.
A guy from allesklar called me to verify the details submitted.

After that he tried to sell me listings on MSN!
But it is in MSN already.
