My numbers are different but I do a lot of B2B and international oriented sites so that's no surprise. Numbers vary considerably between sites.
Generally I have more Google hits (up to 90% on one specific site, see below) but that's no surprise as most sites are doing very well in Google.
On one particular Dutch site I have:
Google.com 48%
Yahoo 13%
Google.nl 12%
Google.ccTLD 17%
Ilse 6% (used to be 2.5%)
MSN 1%
AltaVista .5%
Ixquick .1%
Ilse's rise has to be contributed to more users as far as I can tell as they hold the top positions for their main keywords before and after Ilse's algo change.
The numbers in msg #4 come from a Dutch language site which happens to have some English keywords.
I think Onestat is more accurate then my logs which are colored by my SEO efforts.
>how realiable you think are those stats?
They can only be based on referral stats, not actual stats. I think one or two sites with high search engine refrerrals joining or not joining onestat.com could considerably influence their data.
Sites with many indexable pages will typically get very different referral data then small sites for example. Ilse's marketshare will be larger then it should be if Onestat tracked small (and/or old) sites more then large sites. Because Ilse hardly ever updates their index they can hardly be compared to engines that do index most of the web.
I would like to see more about the method and actual numbers that were used to reach those conclusions before making decisions based on this data..
Lycos.nl or .com does not appear above AltaVista in my stats. Could be our poor positions with FAST but I doubt it. Onestat has a deal with Lycos, I would not be totally surprised if that somehow inlfuenced Lycos' 5th position.
I'm getting a lot more traffic from MSN to my Dutch sites these days, compared to a few months ago.. About half of Google traffic levels, making it a very strong second in our stats.
Might be due to algo changes or Inktomi indexing more pages of course..
I also see a slight increase in Ilse.nl referrals.. can't really explain it as I don't think Ilse updated anything important to us lately.
Why not submit your site (if that's the question) to the directory you mention. They list seo's from all over the world.
If you're looking for Dutch SEO's, maybe a post in the Commercial Exchange [webmasterworld.com] would give some replies?
