And then Google news is only English.
Found that whilst searching you should leave out stopwords and --l'--
and it's seems that this project looks succesfull.
We have got about 500 mails as soon as we ve launched beta version.
Of course a lot of people suggested us to push options in the search results. But also the press seemed to be pleased to have a new french spoken ressource.
This conforted us in this part of the project and we are actually in discussion, to push another project forward. As you might have seen, DeepIndex (the main engine) has multilingual acces (german, english, italian, spanish, ...) and we are in discussion with another major european partner to push and pull us on the international searchnengine scene. I was wondering what the Webmasterworld think about if we go on international?

Well, imo you need to build a good regional engine and the expand on that. The competition on the international search engine scene is very fierce. However, the web can always use quality engines and who knows, maybe yours could become big a squeeze the major guys.
Anyway good luck, and let's see if our members might not have a few comments as well :)
i'm really looking forward for comments. These might be helpfull, to make DeepIndex and DeepIndex News more --better?! :-)
Of course before getting international, DeepIndex must get better on the french spoken market. but already it looks good and if i see howmany more people are coming to DeepIndex every day, i'm feeling quite happy... as my parteners do also.
some people commented to make some advanced search available. Well these are online.
The search is now given the possibility to search in the last 24 H or (by default) last 7 days, 30 days or last year.
The index is refreshed every hour (office time in france) on 200 sources, and the hole index (200.000 articles in french language) is refreshed once a day.
The official opening is forcasted for the 15 th.
I like comments (it's a free engine) so everybody is welcome.
