Would it be a safe conclusion that the number of search engines with any serious presence has been decimated in the last two years?

Heini, is it possible (layout-wise) to add market share (when known) in an extra column?

A small detail regarding Italy: in the directory column it is Yahoo.it and Lycos.it(I know that sometimes copy and paste is not perfect!).

I must have been lacking sleep, cuz I found a few corrections to the chart:

Norway:
ABS Startsidan - misspelled, should be Startsiden.

Denmark:
Sol søg - the "ø" doesn't display right.

Finland:
MSN.fi Inktomi missing under PFI.

Come on folks, let's make this chart bookmarkable. Throw in your 2 cents if you got 'em! :)

Actually I had such a column in the first draft. Problem is the info sofar was not sufficient.
So for this version I tried just to rank the search engines.
However, I'd be more than happy to work that in if we get short lists from members reflecting the actual traffic shares?

Yés it deserve a postion in the list, its the Swedish Lycos and it will bring more traffic than Yahoo, but thats my experience. I suggest that you put Spray in the fourth place.

Yes Evreka is very popular in Sweden, i don't know but i would say probably the #2 after Google.
Altavista is #3 in Sweden.

So Swedes, what is the ranking of SEs in Sweden traffic wise?

We need the same real life input for all other listed countries. So chip in your expertise, please!

We can see a big boost from msn when they stoped filternig .se it was an explotion with traffic from them.

Evreka is a little bit strange it depends on the content of the site some content will bring a lot of traffic and some zero, seo related content will not bring any traffic at all and tourism content will give some good traffic and motor related content will bring alot of traffic.

Altavista will bring alot of traffic if you got good ranking but dont ask how to get it just do the regular things and maybe it works.

Spray - Lycos
The same as Evreka can bring good traffic on specific content, Important to be in their own directory, they filtering the 3 first result after the directory if there are matches

Yahoo - Google
Directory Yahoo
Its a lottery to get in there dont bring to much traffic

Yahogle
Can bring some traffic but not the traffic you want that traffic comes from google you want.

I am sorry to say that i never receive traffic from Spray :(

You can get quite much traffic if you're site is specified as a "Swedish" site by FAST (on Evreka.com you have "search swedish pages only" both in .se context and trough text)

I would also add

Opasia.dk - Google Everything (it's #3 in traffic for my danish sites)

Ok it can be hard on fast it depends on the site content, the motor related content brings traffic even from Spray.and not from Yahoo
