since one week, Overture is now on Aol France.

1 or 2 links under the search box.
Mentioned by "Liens sponsorisés" on the left of the screen.

Smaller caracters than the effective responses.

Aol France = intern directory and Exalead for the crawling.

Not effective on all keywords at this time.

A recent thread about Overture on Europe's SE:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Well, it's summer but some of SE are working ! :)

Yeah, read about it here [indicateur.com] yesterday.

AOL.fr is doing quite well since they took Exalead on board, right?

Their search suggestion tool is so off it's maddening. I tried a number of what I'd consider competitive search terms. Say "immobilier" - that's French for "real estate". The first suggestion with 393 searches is "roanne immobilier". Roanne is a town in France. Oh, c'mon, how many people must have seriously searched for "roanne immobilier"??? :((

>suggestion tool
true - it's absolutely new, practically no db behind it. OV should seriously consider taking that thing down until they have put together a good db - or buy one from AOL or AV.
It's quite misleading.

Yes, very interesting search engines.

The tools (Affinez avec les mots) is like "narrow your search" but it's not only some related searches. It's based on a contextual analysis.

There's now an Add url (Suggérer un site) under each category.
