Hi everyone -

First off, sorry if this isn't the right area for this post but I thought this is where most European webmasters would see it.

I have a client in Hungary, and basically, the hosting company they signed with sucks. Site goes down frequently, etc. They wanna change, but the problem is, I don't know which service to switch to. What are some good hosts in Hungary?

If I have a .hu website, can I get it hosted anywhere, perhaps in another country?

Thanks for any help!

Well, just with any other ccTLD it's basically completely irrelevant where the server is located.

Only the registration of CCTLDs is in many cases restricted to presence in the country for example.

It might nevertheless be advantagous to have a server in Hungary. First the client might have better access to the service people.
Second in this age of localization of search services physical presence of server seems to become a factor, beginning with some annoying behaviour of Google/AOL.

Lets hope our hungarian members will come to help - otherwise I'll see what I can do.
