Europa Club - Dodgy search engine

Has anyone else had dealings with www.europa-club.com ?

You submit a site to which they ask for a "back link"
After 3 weeks I removed the back link because my site wasn't included. I then started recieving demands for money €158.72!! With their "urging costs" it is now up to €178.72. Threats of legal action, investigation etc....

Legally there is no case. Under German law, you have the right to cancel. They do not offer you this right. I suspect the idea is to intimidate people into paying up.

Save yourself a lot of hassle, stay well away. It is a scam.

Heh someone must be bored or praciticing poor business you know so many people will pay too thinking they owe it.... Personally I think if they do such things where it did not entail a cost at origional time then demand money id talk to their ISP. :)

It is a very poorly created asp application. It breaks all the time. It is missing end ifs and end subs all over their pages. They are also not closing their asp tags. I am surprized you actually got the hunk of junk to work.

The only thing that does work is the add url piece
