Wanadoo to buy Spain's Eresmas?

Worldmarketsanalysis.com reports through Europemedia [europemedia.net] that french ISP and portal Wanadoo is in talks with spanish ISP and portal Eresmas.
Wanadoo is already present on the spanish market. Combined with Eresmas they would become a real threat to the marketleaders, making them the biggest ISP in Spain, ahead of TerraLycos.

Eresmas portal uses Google, while Wanadoo provides own websearch.

According to www.cerclefinance.com/ [cerclefinance.com] Wanadoo, France Telecom's internet branch, is not the only interested party.

Lycos.Europe is also intersted in the acquisition of Eresmas.
For Lycos this would make probably sense: strengthening their loosening grip on the spanish ISP market plus gaining Eresma's portal users.
Eresmas has some 2,4 Mill unique visitors per month, making it #4 in Spain.
