1. AUSGEWÄHLTE WEBSITES (selected for you)
2. GESPONSERTE WEBSITES ( Overture.de)
3. WEBVERZEICHNISSITES (directory) from Looksmart.com
This directory shows only the first 200 results.
4. WEBSEITEN (Inktomi)
To be listed in the WEBVERZEICHNISSITE (directory) you have to pay for a Looksmart listing using Altavista.de.
I noticed that sometimes the listing shows not more than 200 results.
For example in this directory ( Webverzeichnis > Reisen & Tourismus > Länder- & Stadtinfos > Europa > Hotels > Südeuropa > Hotels Italien )
:
[search.msn.de...]
This is a case where you should have a title beginning with A.
Do you know how much does it cost the "AUSGEWÄHLTE WEBSITES": is it a PPC?
I have been looking at this as well in this thread:
[webmasterworld.com...]
The featured sites(= AUSGEWÄHLTE WEBSITES) I believe are a mixture of several things at least at msn.com:
1.They can come from Microsoft's Encarta:
search for: "leonardo da vinci"
2. They can be "Realnames"
check for: "IBM" , the first listing, you see a small red circle with an arrow left to the listing.
3. They can come from ads.msn.com/ads
search again for "IBM" the second Amazon listing and hover with your mouse over the listing and you will see the above url in the bottom of your screen (at least with IE 6 on Win98).
I have not found out where these ads come from - any idea someone?
4. They can come from eshop.msn.com/category..:
search again for "IBM", the third listing.
5. They can come from yellowpages.msn.com/..:
search again for "IBM", the fifth listing.
6. They can come from Looksmart?
Search for "Dell".
The first listing gives this url:
r.lksm.com/go/t=...
This last looksmart listing is interesting.
Is this a Looksmart PPC?
