What do you see?

I get Google results on AOL.de. While I find the google/AOL deal overall extremely worrying it's of course great to see my top free Google results on AOL.
So what do you see in France, Spain?

Heini,

are you sure? I checked with AOL.de from Holland and for me, for sure no Google search results.

BTW, as Europe specialist, do you have any idea how many users AOL has in Europe?

Looks Google to me - the Ink logo is gone.
Checked on AOL Canada and France, and it's still looking Inkiss.

Well no, it's not Google. What I had compared were two SERPs which look astonishingly similar on Google and Ink.

Anyhow, AOL has valid contracts with Overture. AOL.France has just started out with Exalead on board.
OTOH the press realeases say Google will be shown to AOLs 34 Mill members worldwide, which would include the 5,5 Mill european members.

So one possible scenario would be for AOL to show Overture plus Adwords on top of Google results for international searches, while local searches stay as they are.

That's right Heini,

AOL France uses exalead technology since 2 weeks.
For sponsored links Overture has signed with AOL France.

An interesting story on ZDNET France [news.zdnet.fr] seems to indicate AOL.France indeed plans to use Google only for international searches.
Exalead will continue to deliver results from the francophone web and from AOL directory.
The statements made by AOL officials still leave room for speculation about adwords vs Overture listings. Logical solution would be to show Overture on french searches, and adwords on international searches. If the contract with Overture allows for that.

Any data when they want to switch?
Any guesses how long it will take?
Only heard something like "soon" ...
