I am trying to get my site into WEB.DE and I have been unsuccessful so far.

Please, could you tell me what it is the quickest way to appear in their database?

Do .de domains have preference?

Thank you so much

The main body of results on web.de comes from Google.
Default search option is set to german sites. So if you have a site which Google assumes is german - mostly a question of language - you are in.

On top of Google results however are up to three Espotting listings, followed by listings taken directly from the web.de directory.

This directory has gone paid. There are standard paid submissions, express submissions and enhanced submissions.

Since the directory is rather large on unspecific searches like "dvd" "hotel" etc Google results won't show up on the first page at all.

To get in the WEB.DE directory, you have to pay a monthly fee which varies starting at - I believe - 2,5 euro.

hello dsevers - welcome to wmw!

well yes - but that's per month.
The standard submission to web.de directory is € 24 p.a. - no guarantee for inclusion, approximately 6 weeks delay.
