Overture goes AOL Germany, France, UK

Reuters says [reuters.com] the multi-year agreement

will provide AOL Europe's 5.5 million members and additional visitors to its Web portals with access to its search results

Only some months ago PPC was with the exception of the UK nearly unknown in Europe.

Espotting are planning Spain, Italy and Austria in a few months, as well as France and Germany which are already up and running. Looks like PPC is firmly stuck in Europe though for the time being.

update: Overture on AOL UK starts in February 2002, in Germany in April 2002.

AOL France starts

in conjunction with Overture's launch in that market, the timing of which is being determined.
