pgsbs, could you explain why you find ilse.nl so good? I've found it always one of the worst SE's of holland. It's SE is outdated and recent addition of the sites in their directory was just a quick fix because they couldn't affort new software. It helped, but i wouldn't call it very accured.

When I need to find dutch relevant links for a certain subject I go to Ilse. Why? Well that's easy to explain. Most links that are displayed on Ilse are directly taken from the Startpagina.nl and it's daughters. Every website that appears on Startpagina, has been screened by a human being (not some robot). Therefore the links are always interesting and relevant. That's the quality for me as a surfer.

As a webmaster I generate a lot of hits from Ilse. My own website is on one of Startpagina's daughters and therefore generates a lot of hits from Ilse. And I seem to get more positive reactions from the people then I did before. Most visitors that end up at my site are actually looking for the information I'm giving. And that's what I hoped for as a webmaster.

we get a terrific amount of traffic from ilse.nl...they've listed our UK hosted Dutch language site because there is nothing else covering the same ground, even though in theory they are Dutch domains only...excellent people to deal with

one of my sites is listed in four or five categories of startpagina, but we get only a few dozen referrers per month. I'm glad you have more luck! ;-)

What dutch search engine brings you the most visitors, Wardbekker?

My top SE's are:
1. Ilse.nl
2. Google.com
3. Altavista.nl
4. Search.msn.nl
5. Zoek.nl
6. Vindex.nl
7. Vinden.nl

Maybe we should ask ourself not only if Ilse is good, but if they will keep their marketshare which is quit big.

First; as a SEO, I think they will soon be spammed again, maybe less as before but it is already possible to get some good result in Ilse on <b>multiple keyword searches</b> easy! (if you can get some startpagina listings). I also already achieved incredible good results with high competitive keywords.

Second, I think the searches are still bad, especially compared with lycos.nl or google.nl
