Dot com or Dot de?

Where to host German language version of site?

It would be a lot easier to roll the German language version of my site into my current set of hosts.

I've done a cursory google.de and yahoo.de search results analysis but I wanted to hear from your experiences.......

Hi 66sore,

1. If your site is aimed at the DE market, I use to say either .com hosted in Germany or .de hosted anywhere.

2. Couple of weeks ago though, Google rolled out a new feature in their Webmaster tool to let them know the localisation of your site.

[webmasterworld.com...]

But that's only Google, so I would still go for either solutions in 1.

dot-at (Austria) is a good alternative for a site in German. We are doing extremely well i Google.de with mysite.at and dot-at is available for all registrations.
